about

Hawghunters of Allentown was formed in 1983 by six individuals with the goals of promoting the sport of bass fishing, fishing new and challenging waters and learning new techniques.

Within two years, Hawghunters had grown to 18 members and were fishing waters in other states.

In 2006, along with many clubs of the Federation, Hawghunters dissolved its association with B.A.S.S. and joined ranks with The Bass Federation and FLW.

Each year six members of Hawghunters compete as a team in the PA Bass Federation Eastern Regional tournament. In 2010, Team Hawghunters won the Eastern Regional at Lake Oneida, NY and in 2016 they placed 4th at Lake Cayuga, NY.

Through the years, Hawghunters has grown in membership. Many new members came and some have left, yet our average membership has continuously grown. Today, Hawghunters, has a healthy mix of approximately 30 members with owners and riders in all age groups.

Hawghunters sustains itself through an annual membership fee and sponsoring buddy tournaments at Beltzville Reservoir and Nockamixon State Park.

Hawghunters meets at Stahley’s Cellarette at 1826 Hanover Ave., Allentown, PA on the first Sunday of every month (except for Holidays and the Super Bowl) at 7:00pm and is open to any person wishing to attend.
